Veteran real estate agent Jeeb O’Reilly is the latest big name broker to depart venture capital-backed brokerage Compass, The Real Deal has learned.

O’Reilly, who was one of the company’s first recruits for its Beverly Hills office when it expanded to Los Angeles in 2015, is returning to her former home at Douglas Elliman, she said.

She is the most recent in a long line of recent departures from the company. Other recent exits include those of Brent Watson, Annie Challis, Dawn Bramlette, Scott Segall, Vera Nelson and Nicole and Peggy Bray. Compass started its L.A. operation with 19 agents, including O’Reilly, and now has well in excess of 200, according to its website.

O’Reilly, a more than 20-year real estate veteran, counts A-list celebrities such as Renée Zellweger as clients. The former professional photographer owned her own catering business before getting her real estate license in 1993.

She told TRD she left Elliman in 2015 because she felt the company was still finding its footing in L.A., but it now looked like a smoother operation. Segall also returned to Elliman.

“I feel like I have a family here at DE,” she said.

O’Reilly’s partner Stefani Stolper is joining her back at Elliman as well as team members Tori Barnao, Gersh Gershunoff and Kevin Stolper.
