Katherine Heigl’s former home hits the market asking $3M

The onetime home of actress Katherine Heigl is on the market asking $2.9 million, or $811 a square foot.

Just a short walk from Griffith Park, the 3,690-square-foot Los Feliz property features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a patio and a veranda offering views of Downtown Los Angeles.

The 1920’s Southern Colonial property at 2226 North Berendo Street was purchased by its current owners in 2013 for $2.6 million, property records show.

The median home value in Los Feliz is about $1.4 million, according to Zillow. The median listing price for the neighborhood is $724 a square foot, compared to the L.A. average of $450 a square foot. Home values increased 8.8 percent over the past year, and Zillow estimates they will increase by 2.7 percent over the next year.
