The MVP of e-commerce is coming to Century City.
Amazon Books filed plans last week to build out a 5,200-square-foot store at the Westfield Century City mall, according to permits.
Amazon had been shopping for store locations in the L.A. region for months, retail brokers told the Los Angeles Business Journal. The retail giant reportedly considered Old Pasadena and Melrose Avenue before settling on the Century City mall, which is in the midst of a $1 billion makeover.
Amazon already has brick-and-mortar stores in Westfield properties, including the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey and the UTC mall in San Diego.
