Aileen Getty is heading east, sources told The Real Deal, and the heiress appears to be leaving her Malibu home behind.
An entity linked to the granddaughter of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty owns the modern farmhouse in the celeb-filled neighborhood of Point Dume, which hit the market Thursday for $14.1 million.
The 5,255-square-foot home has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and a roughly 50-foot-long swimming pool.
While the nearly 2-acre property is landlocked, listing details say it includes “2 coveted beach keys” to Little Dume Beach.
Getty purchased the property for $12.5 million in August 2016 from James Perse. The clothing and furniture designer, who owns two other homes in Malibu, purchased it as an investment and spent a year renovating the property before selling it to Getty.
Sources said the philanthropist heiress is relocating to New York. She is known for her L.A.-based homelessness charity, Gettlove, and the Aileen Getty Foundation.
A handful of other notable residents have called the property home such as Maura Kaplan, daughter of actor Leslie Nielsen, and Stefan Lessard of the Dave Matthews Band.
Brett Lawyer of Hilton & Hyland and Lily Harfouche of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage have the listing.
