John Wells has no shame when it comes to pricing his Hancock Park estate.

The writer, director and producer behind TV shows such as “Shameless” and “The West Wing” recently listed his English Tudor-style home for $14.5 million, a significant hike over the $10.4 million he paid for it in 2007.

The 9,676-square-foot pad has nine bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a grand two-story entryway, Variety reported. The dining room features hand-painted wall panels and there’s a pine-paneled library with a fireplace, a 12,000-bottle wine cellar and a gym.

The property is surrounded by gardens and comes with a a greenhouse, a gazebo, a saltwater pool and a lighted tennis court. There is also a two-bedroom guest apartment with a living room and kitchen located above a three-car garage.

Brett Lawyer of Hilton & Hyland has the listing.

The Hancock Park home, which was one of The Real Deal’s priciest listings in L.A. last week, isn’t the only home the producer is hawking. Wells’ two-parcel estate in Vail, Colo. is also on the market. [Variety]Subrina Hudson
