Jamison Services is planning to convert a Koreatown office building into apartments, city records show.

The project, at 3540 Wilshire Boulevard, calls for 206 live-work lofts on the upper levels of the existing building as well as a five-story, 123-unit residential addition to a two-story parking structure. The project would roll out in several phases.

The original 13-story building dates back to the 1950s.

The conversion is the latest in Jamison’s pivot into the multifamily space. The company is converting two of its other mid-century office buildings into rental properties, according to Urbanize.

Jamison is also building a new 30-story tower with investment partner Hankey at 2908 Wilshire Boulevard. When complete, it will have 227 studio units, 293 one-bedrooms and 124 two-bedroom homes, as well as 10,000 square feet of retail space.  [Urbanize]Cathaleen Chen
