Netflix, the poster company for binge-watching, is continuing its own binge on L.A. real estate.
The streaming service signed on for another 43,000 square feet at Hudson Pacific Properties’ Sunset Bronson Studios in Hollywood for soundstage and office space, the Los Angeles Business Journal reported.
The deal brings the company’s total footprint at the project to about 458,000 square feet.
Its L.A. corporate headquarters is located in the 14-story Icon Tower portion of the project. The entertainment giant also has space inside the Cube building, where it took 92,000 square feet in January.
Netflix’ expansion signals its appetite for continuing to produce original content, said Hudson Pacific General Manager Bill Humphrey.
“High-end provocative content is critical to their model,” he told the Business Journal. [LABJ] — Cathaleen Chen
