Movers & Shakers: Mayer Brown hires former LA County planning director, C.W. Driver names CFO … and more

Legal services firm Mayer Brown hired Richard Bruckner, the former L.A. County planning director. Brown joined the private firm as a senior land use specialist within its government relations and public law practice in Los Angeles. Bruckner, whose career in government spanned 40 years, is a member of the American Planning Association and Urban Land Institute.

Pasadena-based C.W. Driver Companies, a building company, hired Carl Lowman as its new chief financial officer. Lowman previously served as vice president and west coast division business manager for Kleinfelder. C.W. Driver provides general contracting, construction management and design-build services to the West Coast.

Griffin Capital Securities, based in El Segundo, beefed up its distribution team with three new hires. The company named Jed Brody as senior vice president, head of internal sales; Neel Patel as vice president, senior national accounts manager; and Scott Street, director, head of due diligence. Griffin Capital Securities, the dealer-manager subsidiary of Griffin Capital Company, announced it would be restructuring its distribution team and segregating its broker-dealer channel from the warehouse and registered investment advisor channel in September.
