CBRE has hired Derrick Moore, a Downtown Los Angeles retail broker, from Avison Young. His new title will be senior vice president. Moore previously worked at CBRE before he jumped to Avison Young, where he has spent the last five years. In his two-decade long career, Moore has closed over 2.5 million square feet of retail leases.

Michael Weiner is also making a return. The former president of Bridgman Real Estate has rejoined Colliers International after having worked there more than a decade ago. In his new capacity as senior vice president, Weiner will specialize in office properties, including sales, leasing and tenant representation. Before that, he served as president of DAUM Commercial Real Estate. Some of Weiner’s bigger deals in Los Angeles include representing Northrop Grumman for its 225,000-square-foot world headquarters lease, and selling the headquarters of Golden State Mutual Life Insurance Co.

DJM Capital Partners, a private equity real estate and development firm, promoted two executives last month. The firm named Ken Lee as chief financial officer and Becky Sullivan as chief operating officer. Lee, who previously served as vice president, joined the firm in 2011 after working at US Bank. Meanwhile, Sullivan joined the firm in 2014, and most recently worked as senior vice president of construction and development for DJM. The firm, based in San Jose and owns several projects in Southern California, including a 179,000-square-foot retail center in Torrance and a mixed-use complex in Newport Beach.
