Palisociety, the real estate development and hospitality brand, has joined with Timberlane Partners on a 54-room boutique hotel in Silver Lake.

Timberlane, a real estate investment firm based in Seattle, announced it would be opening a hotel in the area earlier this year. In a statement last week, Timberlane said “the property will be the first newly revitalized hotel to open in Silver Lake.

West Hollywood-based Palisociety operates the Palihouse and Palihotel brands. The company, led by Avi Brosh, already has the Palihouse West Hollywood, Palihouse Santa Monica and Palihotel Melrose. It also has two Palihotels, one in Culver City and another in Westwood Village, under construction. Other locations include San Francisco, Miami Beach, Florida; Portland, Oregon; and Seattle.

Spanning about 28,000 square feet, the Silver Lake Pool & Inn. Electric Bowery, an architecture firm based in Venice, is designing the hotel, set to rise at 4141 Santa Monica Boulevard. There will be a pool deck and an Italian restaurant, Marco Polo.

It is scheduled to open in Spring 2019. Room rates are still being finalized, said a spokesperson for Palisociety.

Originally built in 1988 as a motel, the property has been serving as long-term rentals up until late last year. Some tenants were then paid to relocate to make room for the new hotel.
