The company, which provides internet connectivity on flights, filed construction permits for “non-structural work,” which would include building more partitions and making changes to the ceiling and external finishes.

A spokesperson for the company did not return requests for comment.

Global Eagle is a tenant at 6080 West Center Drive, located within the five-building, 1.4 million-square-foot Playa District. Other tenants include Sony Corporation and Pepperdine.

JLL handles leasing for the site.

The technology company’s remodel comes as landlord EQ Office is undertaking its own major renovation of the campus. For the remodel, EQ has teamed up with co-working firm Industrious and Rios Clementi Hale Studio, an architecture firm based near Crenshaw.

Once it is completed in early 2019, the campus will have three gyms, sports courts, full-service restaurants, and outdoor decks.
