CBRE tapped Robert Peddicord to lead the firm’s South Bay operations, overseeing a 130-person office in El Segundo. Peddicord, who has been at the firm since 2012, is succeeding Jodie Poirier. In his new capacity, effective Jan. 1., he will oversee the advisory, transactions, capital markets and asset services operations at the firm. He served as executive managing director of institutional services for L.A. and Orange counties prior to the promotion.

Danny Brown, a residential agent specializing in the Westside, has left the Agency to join Compass. Brown joined the Agency as a partner in 2016. He recently represented HGTV in their high-profile purchase of the iconic Studio City home used to film the “Brady Brunch.” Brown is also bringing Sarah Mohageri, his director of operations, to Compass. They will be based in Compass’s Beverly Hills office.

Two other agents — Leonard Rabinowitz and Jack Friedkin — also left the Agency recently. The duo is now at Hilton & Hyland. In an email, Rabinowitz said they left because they wanted to be at a “boutique agency and the Agency is going global.” They are currently listing Frank Sinatra’s former beach house in Malibu, seeking $12.9 million. The team is also listing the Chimorro house, designed by Roy Seldon Price.

NAI Capital is following in Kidder Mathew’s footsteps and has recruited some former Charles Dunn brokers. The firm has hired Chris Runyen, Faye Montgomery, Michael Vera and Tracy Taft to join its Downtown Los Angeles office. Taft was named vice president, while the remaining three were given senior vice president titles. Their old shop — Charles Dunn — closed its brokerage division in early November, prompting a wave of departures.

SRS Real Estate Partners, based in Dallas, is expanding in L.A. The firm hired Mike Reilly to lead SRS Signature Group, a new service offering that will target domestic and international brands. Reilly will also serve as senior vice president and managing principal at the firm’s new L.A. office, slated to open in early 2019. With a focus on retail, he’s represented companies like Uniqlo, Scotch & Soda, True Religion, Fred Segal, among others. Previously, he worked as president of Next Wave Retail.
