Cody Cannon joined Colliers International as executive managing director and market leader for the firm’s Greater Los Angeles region. Cannon starts at Colliers after four years as a regional manager for Marcus & Millichap. He will manage Colliers’ L.A. operation and advise landlords and corporate clients.

JLL hired multifamily expert Chris Benton as senior vice president. Benson will work out of the firm’s Century City office and advise institutional investors on multifamily deals. Benson was previously a director at Newmark Knight Frank, where he spent three years.

Sotheby’s International Realty has promoted Michael Williamson to regional senior vice president and head of the brokerage’s Greater L.A. and Ventura County operations. He will be in charge of 12 offices and 600 agents. Williamson joined Sotheby’s in May 2018 as senior vice president for its Pasadena office after nearly a decade with the John Aaroe Group. He left about a year after Pacific Union International acquired the company.

John McMillan is now a vice chairman at Newmark Knight Frank. He had been managing director, based out of the firm’s South Bay office. McMillan specializes in industrial real estate, but his team has also represented tenants elsewhere around the U.S. Last year, they handled lease deals totaling 2.5 million square feet. McMillan joined NKF in 2016 after 23 years with Cushman & Wakefield.
