A local developer wants to build a medical office and retail complex with ground-floor retail near Huntington Hospital in Pasadena.

The four-story building would rise at 650 S. Raymond Avenue, according to Urbanize. The medical office portion would comprise 35,000 square feet, with a ground-floor retail part spanning 3,400 square feet. There are 125 parking spaces included below ground.

The property now houses a single-story industrial building dating from the 1960s. It is owned by an LLC tied to Dr. William Caton, a neurosurgeon who owns the building next door. The LLC purchased the 650 S. Raymond Avenue property in 2017 for $3.2 million.
