Jeff Bezos, among the world’s richest men, could afford any property in Los Angeles.

Yet the founder of Amazon.com and his fiancee, Lauren Sanchez, have rented a cliffside Malibu estate owned by soft-jazz saxophonist Kenny G for $600,000 a month at 28761 and 28801 Grayfox Street, TMZ reported.

The couple have rented the Cape Cod-style house off Little Dume Beach since March while awaiting construction of their Beverly Hills mansion.

They’ve had to fill the 5,500-square-foot home with their own furniture, as Kenny G stripped it and put his stuff in storage.

The four-bedroom, six-bathroom home sits on 2.5 acres and has a swimming pool, screening room, recording studio, a 3,500-square-foot guesthouse and a key to Little Dume Beach.

Kenny G’s Malibu Realty Trust bought the main house on a 1.5-acre lot at 28761 Grayfox in 1998 for $12.5 million, Berg Properties reported, citing public records.

Two years later, he picked up the 1-acre lot next door at 28801 Grayfox and built the $3.5 million, 3,500-square-foot guest house, which he completed in 2006. The two-bedroom, four-bathroom guest house includes the recording studio and a full-size tennis court.

It’s not clear how long Bezos and Sanchez will have to wait for their Beverly Hills estate.

Construction on the 15,000-square-foot mansion was halted last month pending approval of his application to expand its footprint past 15,000 square feet, according to the New York Post. He bought the mansion from music magnate David Geffen in early 2020 for $165 million.
