Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio has changed his game plan in Malibu.
A house owned by Attanasio at 31202 Broad Beach Road is under contract to be sold, according to listing sites. The most recent ask for the more than 3,300-square-foot home was about $25 million, or $7,412 per square foot. It was listed for sale in May.
Attanasio acquired the home for $6.6 million in 2017. The listing agent is Ari Passy Attanasio, a daughter-in-law of the baseball team owner. She is affiliated with Sotheby’s International Realty.
The home has been listed for rent on and off for the past few years. The most recent rental asking price for the property was $100,000 per month.
The waterfront mansion is located on one of Malibu’s popular beaches. Neighboring homes on Broad Beach Road are reportedly owned by A-list entertainers such as Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman.
A listing agent’s description of the house said it was a Cape Cod style home with 90 feet of beach frontage. Based on a half-acre, the main house features four bedrooms. The grounds also host a one-bedroom guest house.
Comparable homes include a 3,700-square-foot house located at 31284 Broad Beach Road, which was listed for about $24 million, according to Zillow. Another similar home is 28036 Sea Lane Drive, which is a more than 4,000-square-foot home, according to Zillow. The ask for this home is $25 million.
Attanasio is co-founder of the Los Angeles-based Crescent Capital Group. He became the principal owner of the Brewers in 2004.
