Westside Estate Agency has wooed Stuart Vetterick from Hilton & Hyland, The Real Deal has learned.
The star agent had worked with the brokerage since 2018. Since then, co-founders Jeff Hyland passed away and Rick Hilton left to start his own firm. Lori Hyland, widow of Jeff Hyland, now owns the agency.
“This is the next step for myself and my clients,” Vetterick said. “The opportunity to work with Kurt [Rappaport] and Stephen [Shapiro] couldn’t be passed up. I’ve spent a lot of time at Hilton & Hyland and I’m always going to be grateful to Lori [Hyland] and all the relationships and experiences I’ve had there.”
Vetterick’s name is associated with the $141 million sale of the Bel-Air megamansion called “The One” in 2022. Vetterick, along with The Beverly Hills Estates’ Branden and Rayni Williams, represented the buyer, Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian. The Williamses were also the listing agents, along with Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California CEO Aaron Kirman, who was with Compass at the time.
Currently, Vetterick is co-listing agent for 1120 Wallace Ridge with Rappaport and the Williamses. The six-bed, seven-bath estate has a $48 million asking price. He also holds the listing with Compass’ Tomer Fridman on 29600 Harvester Road, which is on the market for $18.9 million.
“When we started WEA, it was with agents like Stuart in mind — a place where market expertise and connectivity combine to enhance client outcomes,” Rappaport, who serves as president of Westside Estate Agency, said. “Stuart is an excellent addition to that legacy.”
“Stuart personifies what we want in our agents: a high-level real estate advisor to his clients,” Shapiro added.
Hilton & Hyland President David Kramer said the brokerage is “immensely proud” of all that Vetterick accomplished at the company.
“From representing the buyer of The One Bel-Air for $141 million, to being named the first-ever Hyland Honoree by Forbes Global Properties, Stuart has continually exceeded expectations,” Kramer said. “We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
