A 13,800-square-foot mansion in Dana Point has sold for $24.15 million, marking the highest priced home sale in south Orange County this year.
The 0.6-acre peninsula estate traded hands at 9 Oceanfront Lane, in the gated Strand at Headlands, the Orange County Business Journal reported. The buyer and seller were undisclosed.
The nine-bedroom, 12-bath house had sought $27.9 million, and sold for 13 percent less than its asking price.
The three-story mansion, built in 2019 from a design by Newport Beach architect Chris Light, balances classic and modern elements.
The home has a dual staircase, bar, game room, home office, home theater, sauna, maid/guest quarters and beach access, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island.
Outside, there’s an infinity pool, fire pit, bocce lawn, grotto and waterfalls.
Brokers Arlen Raubac and Jenni Nakhjavani of Compass represented the unidentified seller. Christopher Sirianni of Coldwell Banker represented the undisclosed buyer.
This was the second time 9 Oceanfront Lane changed hands. Raubach said he sold the home for $20 million in 2021.
The recent sale faces a looming challenge for the priciest title from retired Hollywood investor Gordon Crawford. In September, he relisted a cliffside home in Dana Point’s exclusive Monarch Bay for $39 million, or $7 million less than its initial asking price.
