Jamshid Zaman wants to build a 24-unit apartment complex in Beverly Hills.

Zaman, whose limited liability company is based in the city, has filed plans to build the six-story building at 8800 Burton Way, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. It would replace a rental car lot.

The project is slated for review by the Beverly Hills Planning Commission on Jan. 30.

Plans by the entity known as 8800 Burton Way call for 24 studio, two- and three-bedroom apartments atop 2,300 square feet of ground-floor shops and restaurants. An underground parking garage would serve 42 cars.

The developer would employ density bonus incentives to permit a larger building than allowed by zoning rules in exchange for three affordable apartments set aside for very low-income households.

The white and gray complex, designed by Farhad Ashofteh, has corner balconies and horizontal banks of floor-to-ceiling windows, according to a rendering.

A staff report recommends the city approve the project.

Pending approval, construction of 8800 Burton Way is projected to occur over a 19-month period concluding in 2027.

8800 Burton Way LLC, a “rental/holding” company led by Jamshid and Mahvash Zaman, is registered at the same address as the rental car lot and future apartments, according to state business records. It was founded in 2009.
