Tarzana Collection wants to build a 46-unit apartment complex in Tarzana.
The Beverly Hills-based developer led by Nasser Matloob has filed revised plans to build the six-story building at 19335 Ventura Boulevard, west of Tampa Avenue, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. It would replace a parking lot.
Matloob had submitted plans in 2023 for a four-story, 70-unit apartment complex between the boulevard and the 101 Freeway, but quickly withdrew them.
His revised plans call for a six-story building with 46 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments above roughly 2,700 square feet of commercial space, plus parking for 38 cars.
The developer seeks density bonus incentives to permit a larger structure than allowed by zoning rules in exchange for six affordable apartments for very low-income households.
The beige and gray building, designed by Kevin Tsai Architecture, would feature semicircular motifs around exterior balconies and vertical windows, with multiple decks.
Tarzana Collection, a limited liability company, was founded in 2017 in the same office as Matson Commercial Brokers, run by Jason Matloob, as well as the Boulevard Law Firm, according to state business records and online addresses.
