Yonkers casino proposal given the nod by CAC
The committee has approved MGM Empire City’s casino proposal in a unanimous 5-0 vote. The proposal is set to move before a state gaming board.
All members voted for the casino: Maria Fernandez, appointed by Gov. Kathy Hochul; Larry Wilson, appointed by state senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins; Frank Jereis, appointed by assemblymember Nader Sayegh; Joe Apicella, appointed by County Executive Kenneth Jenkins;
and James Cavanaugh, appointed by Mayor Mike Spano.
