What are you reading now, or what did you finish most recently? “Life Reimagined” by Barbara Bradley Hagerty.
What prompted you to read it? My brother sent it to me. He just read it because he was turning 60.
Has anything from the book stuck with you? The book is full of fascinating information from interviews with scientists, alternative therapy practitioners and life coaches about ways to keep your life and mind in tune. The single most important thing you can do to maintain an active healthy brain is to stay close to your friends and family. Exercise is great, healthy eating is great, but relationships count more than anything else. Probably the second most important thing is to challenge your brain to break out of its usual pathways: Learn a new language, learn to read music.
Would you recommend it? Absolutely. It’s a good reminder that the way you age is partly in your genes, but also partly under your control.

What are you reading now? “Call Me by Your Name” by André Aciman. Elio, the main character and narrator, is a shy teenager. He falls in love with Oliver, a doctoral student whom Elio’s father hosts as a guest for six weeks in their home to help revise a manuscript. When Oliver goes back home and marries his girlfriend, Elio goes through a very painful time, but his father figures out what happened and, surprisingly, gives him support and love.
What prompted you to read it? I tend to enjoy the original book over movie adaptations, so I was very curious to see how the book told this story given the film’s poetic tones and emotions — I was very impressed with the way the director conducted the film. The main difference is the book tells the story solely from Elio’s perspective.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes! It’s a beautiful story, and I think it’s a great way for people to learn about the challenges others experience. They may realize they’re not alone, or they could learn about the life and struggles of someone else. It shows that life is short, and special moments can’t be wasted due to what others think.

What are you reading now? “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell.
What prompted you to read this book? It was recommended by an individual who played an integral role in my earlier professional life.
What has stuck with you? It presents a stunning analysis of facts that we may have overlooked or assumed. I’ve always believed that we each hold the ability to achieve great success, and that the effort we put in is the deciding factor. But the argument presented by the author is forcing me to examine some other, very interesting perspectives.
Would you recommend it? I am still reading the book but, so far, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who seeks to understand what makes certain people stand out and rise. Also, I would recommend it to those who would like to re-examine how we look at ourselves — our wins, our strengths, and how we might change our lives going forward, as well as the lives of our children.
