Brown Harris Stevens has promoted Paul Herman from executive vice president and director of management to president of residential management. Herman joined BHS three years ago after working as a managing director at Rose Associates. During his time at Rose, the Real Estate Board of New York named him 2005’s management executive of the year.
Although Herman was just recently named president of residential management, he has been the acting-president almost since he started in 2006. Several months after he joined BHS, the previous president of residential management retired.
As president of residential management, Herman oversees all of the property managers, account executives and office support staff who manage the brokerage’s 150 properties in Manhattan. The accounts are mostly condominiums and co-ops, but also include a handful of commercial condominiums and one rental property, Herman said.
Some of the properties BHS manages include the Rosario Candela-designed 740 Park Avenue, the Plymouth House at 235 East 87th Street and 15 Central Park West.
