Town & Country Real Estate on the East End has gone outside the firm to hire a blogger, bringing in a onetime agent who has written for several Hamptons publications. Lona Rubenstein started her career as a real estate agent out east and then moved to full-time writing, publishing two books and working as a real estate reporter for the East Hampton Star, Southampton Press, the Independent and Town & Country magazine.
Judi Desiderio, CEO of Town & Country, said that while her firm’s website has long had a real estate blog, she wanted someone with expertise in the field to provide a professional opinion in snazzy prose. Desiderio said that the blog is crucial because it “is an open forum for people both inside and outside the industry to exchange ideas.”
Of course, Town & Country isn’t the only brokerage on the East End with a blog. The Corcoran Group has its own blog — “Hamptons Waterfront Property” — which provides news, posts market reports and offers advice on how to sell a home.
