Ivana Trump former model, author, self-help guru and ex-Mrs. The Donald has given her name to what is being hailed as the tallest residential tower west of the Mississippi. The Ivana Las Vegas, an 82-story, 923-foot building, will loom over downtown Las Vegas, near the Strip, when it’s completed in late 2008. It’ll house at least 945 luxury condos and is being advertised as “the West Coast’s biggest super tower.”
A cursory search of residential towers in the western United States seems to validate the developer’s claims: It really would be the tallest when it’s done.
Sales started nationwide for the Ivana Las Vegas last month. But even before the tower was unveiled to the public on August 14, more than one-third of the condos had $300 million in deposits from buyers. The average price for an Ivana condo is $800,000, but most of the requests by mid-August were in the $1 million to $3 million range. Condos start at $555,000, with the 20,000-square-foot penthouse going for $35 million.
Gross sales in the tower will be $1.02 billion, a spokesperson for the Ivana Las Vegas told The Real Deal, which may make it the highest-grossing residential building ever.
Developed by Sahara Condominiums, Ivana Las Vegas will feature such amenities as a Zen garden, pool cabanas, and retina scanning for penthouse access. There’s also the requisite gym and spa, 24-hour concierge, cable TV, and room service. All designed to make the tower or, if you prefer, the super tower enticing not only as a second home for those who can afford it, but also as a vacation spot for nightly or weekly visitors.
