One of the development’s 500-foot towers will house 420 studio to three-bedroom condominium units, with prices running from the mid-$300,000s to $2 million for the penthouses. The average price will be in the mid-$800,000s. Three-quarters of the condo units will have views of the Manhattan skyline. The second tower will house rentals.

About 135 homes have been built since the development opened in 2001. Another 40 homes — most of which are three-bedrooms — are under construction. Prices start at $399,900 for the newer homes. Development company Kohl Partners is building a 170-unit rental where prices will run from $1,400 to $3,100 a month, the Post reported. Units will range from 600-square-foot studios to 1,400-square-foot two-bedrooms. When ferry service from Yonkers to Battery Park begins in spring 2007, the commute will take 45 minutes.
