Palm Beach existing home sales, prices down in January

The median price of existing homes in Palm Beach County fell 12 percent to $343,200 in January, compared to the previous year, according to the Florida Association of Realtors. Sales of existing homes in the county dropped 26 percent over the same period to 369 units, the lowest monthly figure for the county since the FAR began tracking it. Resale of condos in the county also slid: the median price was down 26 percent year-over-year to $157,700 and sales were down 20 percent.
