A transportation hub proposed for downtown West Palm Beach would connect the CSX-Tri-Rail, the FEC Railway and Amtrak, in an effort to encourage mass transit ridership. The development, which would sit on a new median on Evernia Street between Rosemary and Sapodilla avenues, would require the purchase of a 40-foot-wide strip of land from Palm Beach County, the Red Cross and the owners of the CityPlace shopping center. A meeting between the project’s planners, transportation officials and the city commission is scheduled for tomorrow at 4 p.m.
