A Boca Raton Housing Authority board meeting at 5:30 tonight will discuss suggestions from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to redo its voucher process. HUD officials and watchdog groups have criticized the local agency for its distribution of the vouchers applications last week, when the authority advertised it would give out 600 at 9 a.m., but instead gave 500 to people at 2 a.m., fearing that the mob that showed up early would camp out overnight.
