South Florida home sales up in March

March showed the first increase in home sales of the year in South Florida, according to data from the Florida Association of Realtors. While the number of unsold homes on the market is also increasing, the rate at which homes are hitting the market has slowed in many places, and almost stopped in Broward County’s condo market. Home sales in Miami-Dade County were up 13 percent in March, from the month before; sales were up 29 percent over the same period in Broward.
