Town opposes West Palm Beach projects

The town of West Palm Beach is protesting the construction of two
planned waterfront towers. The 391-unit condo The Modern, planned for
1515 S. Flagler Drive, would be 100 feet taller than the existing
building there. Opera Place is a 36-story mixed-use project proposed
for 419 Lakeview Ave. The projects’ opponents say they will bring
unwanted density and traffic problems to the neighborhood, and
encourage other developers to build similar structures.
