While the real estate market in general is soft, island property is still in high demand, with a waterfront lot selling for a record $21 million. Palm Beach resident William Meyer bought 770 S. County Road for $16 million in January 2006 as a gift for his wife, Denise, a home designer and builder. He put it on the market for $21.9 million and the land parcel sold this month for $21 million to an undisclosed buyer.
