Florida investors look to the Dominican 

With the United States real estate market on the fritz, Florida investors are seeking profits in locations like the Dominican Republic. Helping to facilitate the cross-border business is Florida’s Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, which works to help business transactions flow smoothly and put U.S. investors create contacts in the Dominican Republic. One group of engineers from Fort Myers has opened an office in Las Terrenas on the Samana peninsula, while a real estate company is constructing new condominium developments in Cabrera.
