Levitt exec earns $1.47 million

The housing slump has hit many developers in the wallet, but not Pete
Hegener. the president of Core Communities. He earned $1.47 million in
2007, making him the highest-paid executive. He received a performance
bonus of $650,000 for his work in developing the communities Tradition
Florida in Port St. Lucie and Tradition South Carolina near Hilton
Head, vaulting him well ahead of Levitt CEO Alan Levan, who earned
$781,000.
