Three Florida cities in top 10 by foreclosure

Florida accounted for three of the top ten U.S. cities by foreclosure rate in April, according to a monthly report by research firm RealtyTrac. Cape Coral-Fort Myers ranked fifth, while Port Lucie-Fort Pierce ranked ninth and Fort Lauderdale ranked tenth. Florida had 3,734 properties taken by a lender and 35,264 homes in some stage of foreclosure in April, a higher amount than any other state except California.
