Foreclosure sales up in Broward, Palm Beach

The number of foreclosure sales in Broward County reached 2,568 in April, more than five times the figure for April 2007, 426. Mortgage delinquencies there were up to 3,150 last month, from 1,135 one year ago. Palm Beach County had 785 foreclosure sales, up 370 percent from 167 a year ago. Palm Beach’s mortgage delinquencies rose to 1,984, from 814 in April 2007.
