South Florida price declines among greatest in U.S.

Home price declines in Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast between the first quarter of 2007 to the first quarter of 2008 were among the worst in the nation, according to a study by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight. Treasure Coast’s price decline of 15.68 percent ranked it 284th out of 292 markets analyzed. Palm Beach County was 273rd in the nation, with an 11.85 percent fall.
