Activists are planning to sue the Miami-Dade County Commission for
approving the building of an office complex and Lowe’s hardware store
outside the Urban Development Boundary line. Michael Pizzi, a Miami
Lakes Town Councilman who is filing the lawsuit on behalf of several
groups, says that by developing outside the boundary, the commission is
going against its own master plan. The case is reminiscent of one filed
there in November 2006 concerning a controversial Home Depot in Coconut
Grove.
