Plantation redevelopment takes a breather

Plantation city officials are now estimating its 860-acre Midtown project will be completed by 2030, five years later than planned, after several component projects have announced delays. The developers of the 600-unit condo project 321 North have announced that its completion will be postponed by two years. U.S. Capital Holdings’ plans for three small retail buildings, two office buildings and a shopping mall are expected to take three to five years after granted City Approval, which is expected next summer.
