Shelby Homes taps Yuter for senior spot

Ronald Yuter, former South Florida division president of Engle Homes/TOUSA, has been hired as the chief operating officer and senior vice president for Fort Lauderdale-based home builder Shelby Homes. Hollywood-based TOUSA and several of its subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy in January. In his new role, Yuter will head up operations and be responsible for the product development, sales and marketing, construction, purchasing and customer service departments. Shelby also promoted Jack Short to chief financial officer and executive vice president.
