Real estate books change focus

As the nation’s housing market struggles, the publishing industry is shifting gears. While publishers rushed to print books about making money in real estate during the boom, they are now quickly putting out titles like “Home Staging for Dummies,” “Foreclosure Self-Defense for Dummies,” and “Foreclosure Myths: 77 Secrets to Saving You Thousands on Distressed Properties.” Some publishers see investing opportunities in the down market, as real estate becomes more affordable and new buyers get in. “The 250 Questions Everyone Should Ask About Buying Foreclosures” will be out in July.
