Florida’s housing bust trimmed membership in the Florida Association of Realtors by about 20 percent by the end of 2007 — roughly from 170,000 to 130,000, according to Teresa King Kinney, CEO of the Realtors Association of Greater Miami & the Beaches. However, in hard-hit Miami, the number of Realtors has dropped only 8.2 percent, to 12,822 members of the local association. While the group is seeing few new members, it’s getting enough transfer applications from other areas to post its second-highest numbers in its history, Kinney said.
