Plantation’s Planning & Zoning Board will vote tonight on whether or not a waiver on height restrictions should be passed to allow developer US Capital Holdings Group to build two 16-story office buildings as part of its mixed-use project, 321 North Condos. Currently the town’s limit is 12 floors, and the tallest building, Renaissance Plantation Hotel on Pine Island Road, is only nine-stories. The city council recently granted the development, located at the site of the old Fashion Mall, to right to include 348 condo units, with the possible addition of 242 more in the future.
