Coldwell discount notched sales

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate says it snagged 108 sales contracts among the 1,023 South Florida homes that participated in a 10-day sale earlier this month. The a success rate of about 11 percent was slightly better than the 8 percent Coldwell got for a similar event it held in the Tampa area in March. Sellers in Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Martin and St. Lucie counties agreed to knock at least 5 percent off the prices of their homes from June 1 to June 10. Critics called it a marketing stunt.
