Fort Lauderdale-based Levitt Corp. has changed its name to Woodbridge Holdings Corp. The company’s home-building subsidiary went bankrupt in November, and executives say they want to expand operations beyond real estate. Levitt Corp. shareholders approved the name change at the company’s annual meeting on Tuesday. Levitt CEO Alan Levan said in a release that “the new name is appropriate given the company’s current and future business strategy, which will include acquisitions and investments both within and outside the real estate industry.” The types of investments were not specified.
