Law firm heads Downtown

International law firm Greenberg Traurig will head from Brickell Avenue to a 150,000-square-foot space in the new Met2 project in Downtown. The $1 billion Metropolitan Miami project is slated for completion in 2010, at the same time the firm’s 160,000-square-foot lease expires at 1221 Brickell Ave. The new lease, signed for a 15-year term, is in the mid- to high $40s per square foot. Greenberg Traurig president Matt Gorson said the firm was one of the first to move to Brickell, and hopes to be part of a revitalization of Downtown with its move to Met2.
