Sunny Isles Beach condo site goes hotel

Sky Development, an Aventura-based company, announced plans to build a 300-room full-service hotel in Sunny Isles. The plot chosen is nearly one acre of local beachfront that was previously the site of a high-rise condo tower. Sky Development bought the lot on the east side of Collins Avenue from Mully SB LLC for $9.6 million. RK Properties will be a partner in building the hotel, which is in the preliminary planning stages. Mully SB originally planned to build 66 luxury residential condominiums on the site.
