Developer sues Palm Beach country club

BallenIsles, the tony Palm Beach County country club community, is being sued by developer John Bills, who alleges club representatives helped quash his real estate sales office. Bills, through his company Dexter Realty, also known as BallenIsles Realty brought suit against seven former BallenIsles board members, one current board member, the BallenIsles Country Club and the community’s homeowners association, BallenIsles Community Association. Court documents say in part the defendants helped sink a deal to zone part of the club to allow Dexter Realty to keep a permanent sales office there, and worked with the city of Palm Beach Gardens to eventually deny the desired rezoning.
