Miami foreclosures at two-year high

Miami saw 1,099 foreclosures in July, a 137 percent increase from July
2007, according to PropertyShark.com’s monthly foreclosure report —
the city’s highest number in the past two years. July’s foreclosures
also represent a 20 percent increase from June’s 913 foreclosures. The
zip code with the highest concentration of foreclosures was 33177,
which includes parts of Miami, Perrine, Quail Heights and
County Lakes. Those areas saw a combined 48 foreclosures. Following
closely behind were the Kendall, Crossing and Miami areas in zip code
33186, which had 45 foreclosures. TRD
