Developer Tibor Hollo experienced a victory in court as a judge
dismissed 24 federal lawsuits brought against him by buyers at the
Opera Tower condominium in Downtown Miami. The buyers alleged that
Hollo violated the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act by
distributing an advertising brochure misleadingly promising an
Olympic-size pool, designer tiles and a bayfront location. The charges,
which aimed to get the buyers’ deposits back, were thrown out based on
the fact that the actual sales contracts signed by the buyers
accurately described the building’s swimming pool and location.
